We are delighted that you have chosen Denton Community Academy for your child’s secondary education. We cannot wait to welcome the Class of 2031 into our building as they begin the next stage of their academic journey.

Our Values in Action
We are incredibly proud that these values are delivering record-breaking results. Our 2025 GCSE outcomes were the best in the Academy’s history:
- 67% of students achieved a pass in both English and Maths (a 5% increase from the previous year).
- 52% of students achieved a Strong Pass (Grade 5+) in both subjects, significantly outperforming local and national averages.
- These results make Denton Community Academy the highest-performing non-selective school in Tameside for Grade 5+ attainment—a testament to the hard work of our students and staff.
The power of partnership
We recognise that the move from primary to secondary school can be both daunting and exciting. To support our families, we offer a range of Transition Experiences.
On Thursday 2nd July 2026, Year 6 students will visit the Academy, meet their new teachers, attend sample lessons, and participate in activities designed to spark their curiosity.
We believe that a student’s success is built on a strong school-home relationship. Education is a shared journey, and we are committed to working closely with you to ensure your child feels safe, challenged, and supported.
To kickstart this partnership, we will be hosting a Parent Transition Meeting on the evening of Thursday 2nd July 2026. This meeting is a vital opportunity for us to connect, share our expectations, and for you to ask questions. We want you to feel as much a part of the Denton community as your child will be.
This is a vital time for us, as we begin the process of forging young people from various primary schools into the unified Denton Community Academy Class of 2031.
